Ohhhhh I just luuuuuuuv it. The prints are the size of a credit card and I could snap shots all day long, but film sure aint free so it provokes a different way of shooting which is great for staying inspired. And I like that they aren’t squares

I’ve been making little messages with it to put around my new house just for fun. Just write out something that inspires you and the less words the better, put it on a fun piece of fabric and then snap away. This one is my favorite…

On another note, this morning I went surfing with the fabulous Amy Hinden and we almost collided with some dolphins! It was one of those moments where I was freaked out and completely in awe at the same moment. Imagine a wave about to crash on you but you can’t dive under it because there are 2 dolphins surfing just inches in front of you… oh man. Absolutely incredible. It reminded me of how I feel in my business… it’s a new wave this year and I’m excited for what’s to come.

Here is a fun little exercise someone shared with me… if you were to take a second and write down the five most important people in your life, who would you write down? Do you have the list figured out? I’m really serious! If so, take a look over it. Is your own name on the list? If you did the same thing as me, then the thought didn’t even cross your mind. But, think about it… if our own cup is running empty then how much are we able to give of ourselves to the people that matter the most to us? So, go back over the list and put your own name at the top. Weird, huh? Strange but extremely empowering. Taking that time off was the best thing I ever could have done for myself and for my art. I can’t recommend it enough.

So, I’m back in the blogging world and ready to go with a new joy and fresh perspective. I figured that having a new blog was just the perfect way to signify a new beginning… and it’s just fun! I hope you enjoy it and let me know your thoughts, your comments, anything you want to share. And then give yourself a little time off… go make a cup of tea, grab a book, read my blog (haha!), or do nothing at all… and enJOY!
